Neuro Pelvic Floor Course

Course Description

The presence of a neurological injury or illness can affect function throughout the body, including pelvic health. Additionally, while the majority of therapists with pelvic floor training have a strong background in orthopedics, there is less understanding of how the pelvic floor muscles are affected by neurological conditions. This course aims to bridge the gap between the outpatient pelvic health therapist and their patients with neurological injury or illness. Topics include differential diagnosis of musculoskeletal and neurogenic symptoms, whole body implications of neurologic compromise on the pelvic floor muscles, treatment considerations and much more.
