Course Description:

This fun and casual learning session will focus on the following for babies ages newborn through 1 year of age, with easy activities and handouts provided:

Gross motor play skills including special focus on tummy time activities

Activities and positions that will promote fine motor skill development

Positioning techniques to encourage development of round head shape

Sensory strategies that will help calm your baby and promote good sensorimotor development, as well as healthy sleep

Positioning strategies for babies with reflux or just a lot of spit-up;

Use of baby carriers including recommended carriers and positioning of baby in carriers as well as body mechanics for parents to promote comfortable and healthy posture;

Baby equipment: what is best and how is it best used? At what age? For how long? Are jumpers/walkers ok?
